It's a beautiful morning
Okay, so it's freezing cold and snowing AGAIN. But it's still a beautiful morning. I'm done everything that needs doing for the week, and all I have to do today is sit here and look pretty until our big town event this evening. And I can do that, 'cause I'm wearing my new shirt!

It's amazing what a good night's sleep will do for your spirits! Today I can completely understand why God gives us a day of rest. We need it. Not just for physical rest, but to refresh ourselves mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. This week has been so hectic, I've only had one day where I was able to sit and get into God's Word and actually have some meaningful prayer time. The rest of my week has consisted of quick, harried prayers of "please get me through this!!", and guilty glances at my closed Bible on my night table as I fall into bed already asleep.

So please forgive me, but I'm going to go spend some much needed time with my Lord right now, and enjoy this wonderful break in my week.

Yes, it is a beautiful day!

I hope that things slow down a little for you this week. Maybe we can finally have that coffee we keep talking about!
